My name is Melissa Knightes, and I am the owner and operator of Love, Laugh and Learn Preschool. I am married, have an 9 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. I was a special education teacher for 7 years but decided to leave the school system 7 years ago to open my own in-home preschool. This has given me the opportunity to continue my passion of teaching children within a smaller setting which allows for increased individualized learning for each child. My education includes a bachelors degree in creative art therapy and a masters degree in education. I am a professionally licensed teacher in the state of Virginia with extensive course work in early childhood education. I am certified in first aid and CPR.
